\"Lukas<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
Building upon his summer 2018 telemedicine research with\u00a0Dr. Jeanine Turner<\/a>, second-year student Lukas Chandler had two proposals accepted to the\u00a0Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE) annual conference<\/a>. His first presentation is a 3-Minute Thesis format where he argues that if systemic distributive injustices are not addressed in our current healthcare system, then it may become ethically mandatory to deploy telehealth technologies. His second presentation,\u00a0Ethical Challenges in Telecare: Reviewing Moral Frameworks for Remote Clinical Care<\/a>,\u00a0is a formal paper talk that will review a variety of ethical frameworks from which to approach challenges in telehealth, particularly concerning the issues of privacy and confidentiality.<\/p>\n
