Interns have the chance to work hands-on in the areas of patenting, prior art searching, technology evaluations, market analysis, competitive landscape research and marketing. Participants have the opportunity to work directly with start-up creation and venture creation <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Luxi spent her time in the program working on helping Georgetown Medical students trademark their work and protect their intellectual property. Her research interests revolve around statistics and market analysis, as well as the intricate connections between technology and the process of commercialization. She is dedicated to building bridges between these areas of study, aiming to shed light on the interplay between technology and the commercialization\u00a0ecosystems.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:55%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Chelsey worked on various projects during her time in the program under the Mentorship of Monita Tarazi, a Marketing Manager in the tech commercialization program who Chelsey says gave her invaluable advice about the marketing industry and practical knowledge about working in the field.\u00a0 Like Luxi, she also spent a significant portion of time learning about the life-cycle of the technology commercialization process including market research and patent registration.
