Highly motivated Georgetown College of Arts & Sciences students can complete the requirements for the M.S. in Biotechnology in one semester after completing their bachelor’s program.

The M.S. in Biotechnology<\/a> program bridges the gap between science and society. The program focuses on developing scientific knowledge along with leadership skills, teamwork and entrepreneurship \u2013 essentials for career success. Students learn about all aspects of biotechnology and tailor their studies through one of six program tracks.

A highlight of the master\u2019s program is the capstone internship, which allows students to gain valuable work experience. Internship opportunities are available in all the tracks and can include research in industry, academic, and government laboratories and in business development, marketing, commercialization, finance, regulatory affairs, and technology transfer.

Application<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Undergraduate students in the College of Arts & Sciences who meet the master’s program admission requirements are eligible to apply to this accelerated program by no later than the end of their junior year. Students who wish to apply should inquire with their undergraduate advising dean and the director of the M.S. in Biotechnology program.<\/p>\n\n\n

Undergraduates start taking master\u2019s courses in their senior year, earning the master’s degree in the fall after completing their bachelor’s degree.<\/p>\n\n\n
