Tyler Rippel wins Bayard Long Award for Botanical Research!

Tyler

This month, Tyler Rippel, a graduate researcher in the Wimp Lab, was awarded the Bayard Long Award by the Philadelphia Botanical Club. The annual award supports the research of plants in the Philadelphia area! Tyler’s proposed research seeks to analyze the various factors that contribute to habitat fragmentation and its consequences for the grass Spartina patens in the coastal salt marshes of New Jersey. By studying both biotic and abiotic factors affected by habitat fragmentation, Tyler hopes to better understand these processes. Good luck with your research and congratulations on the award, Tyler!
