Requests for Classroom Rental Fee Waiver
Fees for Classroom Rental incur when programs or events invite Guests of the University (outside faculty, students or others) to an event scheduled in a Hilltop Classroom.
- This includes any persons not enrolled as for-credit undergraduatge or graduate students of the University.
- Styling the program as a “class” has no merit in the determination.
- The precise nature and identification of the attendees governs.
Programs and events comprising 95%+ of University for-credit students, faculty or staff usually may obtain a waiver of fees. However, if the organization proposes a classroom use outside of the normal range of classroom use (food service, or any other questionable activity), classroom rental fees may apply, even if the audience is entirely internal to GU.
