is a new method of classroom AV connectivity and control, used extensively at GU&#8217;s Capitol Campus, but used only sparingly on the Hilltop Campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In a &#8220;Zoom Room&#8221; the Zoom application functions as the &#8220;switch&#8221; that connects audio and video inputs to desired displays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To preset content outside of a Zoom Meeting, the patron presses that function on the touch-screen control panel for the room.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The system then flashes a connectivity code onto the display screen in the room;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the Zoom app on the patrons laptop, the patron enters that code, and that laptop is now connected to the primary display in the room.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is no wired connectivity for patron BYOD; all connectivity is wireless.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Within an actual Zoom meeting, connecting BYOD is much the same way as in any other Zoom meeting. \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>But  some Zoom Rooms may allow multiple displays of different BYOD sources at the same time, something not generally possible in a conventional Zoom Meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a Zoom Room, the simplicity of patron use masks a complexity of hardware and software behind the scenes.  \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If something does go unexpectedly wrong in a Zoom Room, patrons must contact their AV support provider immediately.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There is relatively little in a Zoom Room system that a patron could adjust or remedy on his or her own.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A &#8220;Zoom Room Classroom Paragim&#8221;
