classrooms, conference rooms, and seminar rooms to incorporate the latest in educational technology.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The size and scope of the project, and, in the case of renovation, the availability of the room(s) in question, affect CETS time required for this service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Implementation is usually undertaken during the summer, spring break, or intersessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Contact CETS as early as possible to plan and receive necessary approval from University construction oversight authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At your request, CETS will:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>conduct a needs assessment<\/li><li>design technology and related infrastructure for new instructional space or renovation of existing classrooms, auditoria, and seminar rooms<\/li><li>prepare floor plans, elevation drawings, and plans for conduit\/cable runs to meet electric and data needs<\/li><li>prepare equipment procurement lists and bid specification sheets<\/li><li>manage projects by coordinating technology installation and infrastructure upgrades with university constituents and outside contractors<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These design services ultimately result in more effective use of educational technology. The size and scope of the project, and in the case of renovation the availability of the room(s) in question, affect CETS time required for this service. The actual implementation of projects is usually done during the summer, spring break, or intersessions. We encourage you to contact CETS as early as possible to properly plan in advance and receive necessary approval from university construction oversight authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CETS intends to grow the university\u2019s institutional memory, recommend our best practices, encourage further standardization of educational technologies, and better serve our main campus constituents.
