{"id":747,"date":"2019-11-12T12:04:51","date_gmt":"2019-11-12T17:04:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.georgetown.edu\/cets-clone\/?page_id=747"},"modified":"2025-08-05T16:20:39","modified_gmt":"2025-08-05T20:20:39","slug":"memorandum-of-understanding-mou","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.georgetown.edu\/cets-clone\/classroom-management\/classroom-design\/memorandum-of-understanding-mou\/","title":{"rendered":"Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>To create an efficient model beyond the classroom, CETS will require additional information from our partners, outlined in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).&nbsp; In essence, this information will keep CETS \u201cin the loop\u201d from the planning to the execution of the technology installation, and allow us to effectively assist in maintaining your educational technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is our hope that through the adoption of our Core-Technology and CTD model and a MOU, CETS can partner with other departments and be more helpful in teaching spaces not directly under CETS\u2019 control, and main campus colleagues can have a more reliable experience with the technology in those spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Memorandum of Understanding<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.georgetown.edu\/cets-clone\/sites\/cets\/files\/files\/upload\/memorandum_of_understanding-use.pdf\">Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)<\/a> is entered into on MM\/DD\/YYYY, by and between Classroom Educational Technology Services (CETS) and Georgetown University\u2019s *** Department (the *** Dept.). This MOU will be reviewed annually and will be rescinded at the request of either party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The purpose of the MOU is to provide a framework of Educational Technology assistance for the *** (building) *** (room number) AV Project (the Project).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>CETS and the *** Dept. agree to work together in the true spirit of partnership to ensure that there is a united, visible, and responsive leadership of the Project, and to demonstrate financial, administrative, and managerial commitment to the Project by means of their combined, individual services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The activities and services of the *** Dept. include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Consulting CETS\u2019 engineering department prior to the purchase and installation of technology.<br>Providing a comprehensive list of design requirements for the Project to CETS\u2019 engineering department.<br>Use of CETS\u2019 Core Technology and Customized Technology Design for the Project\u2019s Educational Technology.<br>Use of CETS-approved vendors to purchase equipment and to contract installation and services.<br>Supply copies of dated receipts for purchases and contracted installation and services.<br>Supply of a PC that meets our requirements for system compatibility.<br>Two contacts from the department, identified below, who will be trained to provide tier 1 support and expected to monitor the functionality of the Project after installation.
