The five-part series, replete with breakout sessions and engaging activities, will provide a comprehensive platform to equip participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to effectively address R/ED within their systems and foster peer-to-peer learning and support.

Program Details

Available to all jurisdictions per an application process, the training series is designed to provide tailored support to states and territories on their R/ED Reduction Plans. The curricula and technical assistance, however, will emphasize the intersection of the R/ED core requirement with the other core requirements, and encourage participants to embrace racial equity in all components of its approach to Act compliance.

This will include training on how plans can ensure a focus on addressing implicit bias, promoting cultural competency, and implementing strategies to combat institutional and structural racism. It will also elevate tactics for enhancing capacity to collect and analyze data on disparities at key system decision points, including the use of root cause analyses to support the identification of targeted R/ED reduction strategies, and will highlight the vital importance of youth, family and community partnerships in the development and implementation of jurisdictions’ R/ED Reduction Plans.
