Compliance Training Series Application Guidelines

The full Request for Applications packet will be released soon. We will be updating this page at that time, but see below for a preview of the most pertinent information to help you and your team prepare in advance.

Tuition and Cost

With the support of OJJDP, participants’ tuition for the Compliance Training Series is provided at no cost to the selected jurisdictions. All participants are expected, however, to dedicate their time and effort to fully participate in all cohort meetings and activities.

Team Composition and Individual Applications

Up to 10 counties, state, and/or tribal jurisdictions will be selected to participate in the first cohort of the Compliance Training Series. Jurisdictions are encouraged to apply as a multi-disciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to addressing R/ED. However, individual participants who meet specific criteria may also be eligible to apply.

To be considered for participation, team members should include:

  • State Advisory Group (SAG) representatives, such as SAG Chair, Youth Representative, R/ED Subcommittee Chair, etc.
  • Juvenile Justice Specialist
  • R/ED Coordinator
  • Designated State Agency (DSA) Official
  • Youth and/or Family Partners
  • Community-Based Organization Partners

Important note for individual participants: Individual applicants must represent their jurisdiction and should be actively involved in the oversight or compliance of the R/ED plan. This ensures that each participant is well-positioned to contribute effectively to the training and subsequent implementation of R/ED plans.

Application Submission

Applicant teams and individuals will submit one application packet via the Submittable portal. This application should include the bios and contact information for each team member, as well as short essay answers to a number of questions included in the RFA.
