Census Resources

In 2018, the US Census Bureau asked users to respond to a Federal Register Notice asking which data products they would find most useful for 2020.

In 2020, the US Census Bureau implemented a new framework for protecting respondent privacy. This framework is called “differential privacy”.

In 2021, MDI partnered with the Association of Public Data Users to conduct workshops for data users on the quality of the 2020 census and how users can supplement the data with administrative records.

In 2022, MDI created the Census County Assessment Tool and the Impossible Blocks Map, tools which assist users in identifying data quality issues in the 2020 census.
