DeOnyae-Dior Valentina is a passionate advocate and activist for youth justice, dedicated to empowering marginalized communities, especially LGBTQ+ youth and people of color. As a young Black and Brown trans woman with lived experience of oppression, she brings a unique perspective to her work, using her story to uplift others facing systemic challenges.
With a background in policy advocacy and youth leadership, DeOnyae-Dior has worked with organizations like Stand for Children and Annie E Casey Foundation to promote inclusive policies that ensure the rights and dignity of all young people, particularly those at the intersection of racial, gender, and sexual identities. Her personal journey fuels her commitment to fighting for justice, equity, and access to vital resources for communities that are often silenced.
Through her work as a Youth Justice Fellow, and other key roles, DeOnyae-Dior has advised on policy changes, led initiatives to support LGBTQ+ youth, and helped develop resources to create more inclusive environments in schools, foster care systems, and community programs.
Her advocacy extends beyond professional titles, as she actively shares her story of resilience and overcoming barriers to inspire others and enact meaningful change.
