Youth and Family Advisory Council
“Nothing about us without us.”
Core to the Center for RR/ED’s project is working side by side with youth and families. To that end, we have created the Center for Reducing Racial and Ethnic Disparities (RR/ED) Youth and Family Advisory Council.
Led by professionals with lived experience, the Center for RR/ED Youth and Family Council is comprised of members from diverse backgrounds with experiences in the youth legal system. The primary function of the council is to serve as a guiding body for all activities conducted by the Center for RR/ED. As the saying goes, “nothing about us without us.”
About the Youth and Family Council Members
We are excited to be joined by a dedicated, knowledgeable, and proactive group of youth and family leaders from across the country. Each of them are engaged in their own communities, working tirelessly on behalf of kids. Together, we are thrilled by what they can achieve in collaboration, as their efforts connect with those of each other and with the Center. You can learn more about each Council Member here.
Youth and Family Council Programs and Workgroups
The Youth and Family Council has assembled several workgroups, focused on a particular function and goal of the Center. As the workgroups meet, we will begin sharing the resources and guidance they develop here.
