We recognize that students approach minors not only from different disciplinary positions but also at different times in their academic careers.
We believe IDES is flexible enough to accommodate any student who is committed to completing it. The following scenarios show possible pathways that students may take through the IDES Minor curriculum. These pathways are provided as examples only. They are based on standard four-year undergraduate progression, and they do not include options such as summer courses. Students can navigate IDES electives in multiple ways. The only sequencing requirement is that students follow the core pathway in order: Introduction → Discovery Studio → Design Rhetorics. Electives can be taken at any time, with electives taken prior to the core sequence being retroactively petitioned for acceptance.
