How To: Footer

  1. After logging in, on the front end of your site, click Edit Site in the topmost admin bar.
  2. Open the Document Overview. This is the icon with three vertical lines next to the redo arrow.
  3. Navigate into the Footer template by expanding the Footer section.
  4. The Footer section’s content is mostly within 3 separate columns.

Column 1 in the Footer section contains linked social media icons.

  1. Clicking an icon in the document overview will allow you to access that icon’s settings in the Inspector Panel where you can change the title of the icon.
  1. Clicking on the icon in the content editor will allow you to enter the link for the icon.

Column 2 in the Footer section contains a menu of your choosing.

Location, Email, Phone

Column 3 in the Footer section contains organization contact information such as location, email, and phone number.

  1. Expanding the Organization Contact pattern in the Document Overview will allow you to access the various pieces of contact information. To add the content, click on each block and enter in the information in the content editor.

  1. Some blocks will have additional settings available in the Inspector Panel. For example, the Postal Address block has toggles for showing the City or Country on a new line.
  1. To access the phone number, you will need to expand the row within the Organization Contact block.
  1. The paragraph block is where you can change the default “P.” indication before the number.
  1. The Contact Phone block is where the number itself is entered in. There are additional settings for the Contact Phone block in the Inspector Panel such as toggles for making the number a link (the user may click on the telephone number to call the contact) and displaying the country code (the country code is displayed or not).
