How To: Header
The Header is the top section of your site and typically contains your site logo, navigation menu, and optional parent or utility elements. In the MarTech theme, headers are edited using the Site Editor so you can visually see changes as you make them.
Header elements are managed within the Header template and can be customized to match your site’s structure and branding.
Access the Header
- After logging in, on the front end of your site, click Edit Site in the topmost admin bar.
- Open the Document Overview. This is the icon with three vertical lines next to the redo arrow.
- Navigate into the Header template by expanding the Header section.

Site Logo
The Site Logo represents your site’s primary branding and usually links back to the homepage.
- Within the Header template, click on the Site Logo block.
- In the Inspector Panel, upload a new logo or select one from the Media Library. The logo needs to be a SVG file.
- Adjust alignment or size as needed.

Parent Site Logo
The Parent Site Logo is optional and is used when your site belongs to a larger organization or department. It helps establish hierarchy and typically links to the parent site.
- Inside the Header template, add an Image or Site Logo block.
- Upload or select the parent organization’s logo.
- Use the Link setting in the Inspector Panel to link the logo to the parent site.

Navigation Menu
The Navigation Menu allows visitors to move through your site and is a core component of the header.

Saving Changes
After making updates to the header, click Save and confirm all template changes. Visit a page on your site to verify the header displays correctly across screen sizes.
