Callout

A callout is a single card used for highlighting content. Paragraph, List, Image, Heading, and Button blocks can be added to a callout.

To add a Callout Block, search for “callout” in the block search in the top left of the page editor. Or search for the block in the “Layout Elements” section of the block search.

After the callout is selected, the block will appear in the editor. Add text to the card by typing directly in the text field. Add other content by clicking on the plus sign within the block and selecting the appropriate block from the options provided.

Customize the alignment and style of the block by using the sidebar in the editor screen.

The style of the callout can be ruled, solid, or no style.

Note: For accessibility reasons, when adding button blocks inside a callout block, the button color options will only be available for callouts using the default style.

To change the background color of the callout, follow these steps:

Select the Callout block itself, rather than one of the child blocks within it. This can be a little tricky, but you can do this by hovering over the child block toolbar (an option to select the Callout will pop up), or selecting the Block Navigation at the top of the editor and choosing the Callout block.

Then, you can change the style of the Callout to Solid using the options in the sidebar.

Next, to change the color use the Callout Color options in the sidebar.

Note: The color settings for individual blocks (paragraphs, headings, etc.) will not display on the front-end. Only the color settings for the Callout itself will display. Please reference above instructions to make sure you select the Callout block itself to update color settings.
